Schools' Affiliation Scheme
IFST's Schools' Affiliation Scheme is designed to support teachers of Food Technology within the context of the Schools' Science curriculum. The Scheme is primarily aimed at UK secondary schools but all interested schools are welcome to join. For just £35 for the academic year 2005/06, participating schools receive a range of benefits including:
- Food Bites - a special newsletter each term for teachers
- Food Science & Technology - IFST's quarterly magazine containing IFST news, views and technical articles
- Regular issues of industry magazines containing technical articles about the food industry
- Early access to IFST's Information Statements
- An e-mail discussion group exclusively for teachers
- Complimentary copies of some of IFST's popular guides
- Early access to new information on careers and resources for schools
- Eligibility for grants to attend teachers' conferences, eg international conference 'Careers on Stage' and the popular summer school at Reading University.
